STORY THAT STILL WARMS
HEARTS TODAY

The farm’s development began in 1991 with two
sheep – Vunica and Strunica. Since then, the
flock has grown exclusively by retaining female
offspring born on the farm.

FROM “BENEATH THE GRANARY”
TO PURPOSE-BUILT SHEEP
BARNS

Development took place in seven stages – from the first improvised shelter, through the construction of sheds and expansion of pens, to the formation of purpose-built sheep barns. Each expansion was driven by the growth of the farm’s own flock.

AROUND 300 FEMALE ANIMALS
AND DEVELOPING CATTLE
FARMING

Today, the farm has around 300 sheep, mostly female. At the same time, cattle farming is being developed to make production more stable and less dependent on market fluctuations.

EXPANDING OUR FIELD OF WORK

In addition to sheep farming, Cerovac Farm is gradually developing cattle
farming. The plan is to
expand the rearing of fattening cattle in order to complete the meat production cycle and ensure greater market stability.
This step represents a natural continuation of the farm’s development and a
long-term strategy for sustainable livestock farming.

ENRICHING THE FARM’S OFFERING

Alongside sheep and cattle farming, the farm provides contract pig rearing. Wine is also produced on the estate, as well as rakija made from fruit grown on the farm, in small batches.
